Is this a good price for a s/h Kiesel

Postby coltpeacemaker041 » Wed Jan 17, 2018 12:19 am

Hi all ive been given the chance to buy a s/h Kiesel 7 string for $2400us and was wondering about if its worth the coin. I know only i can really say but any advice would be awesome! Also im not sure if im allowed to post questions about s/h Kiesel as i know its a business and that want new customers so if im in breech just let me know.
Also supposedly this is one off the first 5 Kiesels ever made and Jeff did the custom venom finnish and owns the twin off this guitar. Cheers

I'm not sure what S/h means, but that seems a little bit high. I don't remember what they were new...

For example, here's a fairly similar one that sold on Reverb, and I think the Venom finish added $400 to the new price, but shouldn't add $400 to the"used" price: https://reverb.com/item/4977065-kiesel- ... itars-dc7x

The one you linked to was build #50 of a limited run of 50 in a group-buy "run" organized by the Guitar Porn. For what it's worth, Jeff does ALL of the Venom finished and color treated boards.

Isn't the general rule 50% of original cost?

Good point, esp if OP is looking for a special sort of one-off that Jeff had a hand in building. Those NAMM guitars usually have really nice finishes, great pieces of topwood, meticulous finishes, not to mention one off models.

I would not pay that much for the guitar. The resale value is not really there for these guitars used.
Carvin guitars: AC375, Cobalt 250, Bolt-T.
Carvin amps: Legacy I w/Mesa 2X12 Rectifier speaker cab, AG100D.
