I believe that this is the "Zeus".

Without the cutaway in the middle like the Vader and the HH, I wonder if it has a CL-style route to access the headless bridge tuners?

The upper fret access cutaway is deeper than the Aries (if the neck attachment screw hole positions are anything to go by), but it does seem to lack the PRS/Aries/Vader style extra route up there for even better access.

Is that a solid billet of Buckeye in this "hand-making of a prototype, then production model" video? I think it is...

https://www.facebook.com/kieselguitars/videos/2017944821822143/?multi_permalinks=10159777955700285&notif_id=1515107442437768&notif_t=group_activity

$50 more than an SCB, $100 more than a Solo or Aries, $100 less than a Vader. Seems logical. I actually expected $50 higher.

One nice thing about this model is that you can have it without a top, so unlike the CL, you won't have that mismatching (or contrasting) carved out area behind the tuners.

According to Jef on instagram, the first "several" will get a free 3-piece neck upgrade.

Mixed feelings on this one.

Dig the scb vibe. The big ass bevel on top is very Tosinesque. Not a fan of his guitars at all. Jeffs take on it is an improvement for sure.
Not sure how I feel about the tuners over the body. I like the look og the vader more so than the letchford.
At first glance it bugs me.

The name, well they can't all be winners.
*oof

All in all, pretty decent.
Current Carvins:

JB Numbers Guitar (July sale has given me the itch!)

I agree that the Vader-style cutout for the tuners looks better, but wouldn't it be worse from a functional perspective? Those tuners will be sitting on your leg if you play in classical position.

Ha, yeah...Zeus is a bit too try-hard, and seems like it would fit a bass better. On the other hand, Aries is the son of Zeus. If they went the other way with Aries being the father...what would we have then? Eros?

The over-hanging tuners, while I'm sure are functionally easier to access and use, seem like they'd get bumped playing in classical position, and several owners have said as much. I go either way, but I do like this better than the solution on the Letchford. it seems more "hand-sculpted" and less "machine routed", even though they both technically are machine cut.

That lower horn is gives it about 1.7% Bromberg-ness.

Try too hard! Perfect! :laughhard:

Zero issues playing my V7 in the classical position. Not my normal sit down style but I do at times.
The tuners are pretty stiff.

"Beluga" would have been more appropriate. Not crazy about this one.

meeeeeh.....not overwhelmed by it. Kinda more of the same, perhaps appealing to those who would want a vader with more curves

Good to see new bolt-on neck ideas coming through though.
Carvin guitars: AC375, Cobalt 250, Bolt-T.
Carvin amps: Legacy I w/Mesa 2X12 Rectifier speaker cab, AG100D.

Fingers crossed, or at least some new bass model even if it isn’t a Zeus. We’ll see if this is another NAMM show were guitarists get multiple new models and bassists get nothing.

FWIW I like the Zeus.

Yep, he confirmed that there is a bass model. They are going to show it tomorrow. No multiscale headless, just straight 34 inch scale.

I think it looks cool, something a little different. I like both that pink AAT?/blue finishes also. I’m more of a headstock guy so there it is.
Something in my brain wants those multi scale string holders at the top of the neck to be angled
