In addition to the Solo in the video below, jeff also just happened to have a Hipshot telecaster bridge on his desk during the last Q&A.

That’s awesome news and the Hipshot bridge jeff was holding up looks sweet as well. I think that will help spike sales for those models. The raw tone looks cool on Johnny’s guitar.

The Electric City site says he found a Telecaster bridge pickup to be "too large" for his playing style. So unless Hipshot is doing a custom bridge that takes a Strat pickup... Eh. Who knows.

I don't think I've been this excited about them scoring a guitar endorser since that catalog in the 90s showed up with Holdsworth on the cover. This is just so cool!

Johnny seems like one of the nicest guys out there and he's an absolute monster of a player.

When it comes to gear though, he seems to switch up his guitar endorsement every few years. He was with both PRS and Music Man and spoke in almost the exact same superlative language when talking about them. I can't really blame the guy as any musician should take whatever endorsement money he or she can get. It's also a bit awkward that he leads viewers back to his website that still has EBMM on there as an endorser.

It's cool to see his signature pickups going in the signature guitar.

He is indeed very down to earth. And a fantastic player. I am extremely happy for both Johnny and Kiesel.

The thing I like is he is not the new kid on the block. You need a mix of styles. You need to have a mix of young fresh and cutting edge. And firmly rooted musicians. Johnny fills a few of those spots.

fingers crossed that the Hiland model will have the tele style bridge, even a 6 saddle would be ok. But would have to be adapted to Johnny's sig pup. Time will tell on this. I also hope we will be able to option it up. I imagine there will be some options, considering it will be a sig not a tribute.

I think it's great that Kiesel is adding an endorser who epitomizes a very different musical style from the majority of their other endorsers. Mr. Hiland is one h@ll of a picker!
