I have nothing actually helpful or useful to add, but will only note that the only models on which the Evertune bridge is available are branded as "Kiesel". ;)

Oh yeah, duh....

I’ve been around the forums for 10 years, and still think of their guitars as Carvin, even though they ARE Kiesel now!
Maybe I should change my topic heading...

I'm of two minds. For me, while I'm playing, the tuning issues I generally have are due to my gorilla grip or hard strumming and picking making notes go Sharp. With a good setup and high-quality tuners, Etc, going flat in the middle of a song is less of an issue for me. Because I would virtually almost always have it set to allow for bends,, that also means that you're eliminating the benefits of preventing the notes going sharp.

So still a really cool product, and I absolutely understand the applications for others... Just not for me. But then again I'm not a session recording artist, or performing on important stages.

It seems there's no problem setting it up to allow for both bends and vibrato while at the same time not go sharp by finger pressure.
This guy does it at around the 3min mark: https://youtu.be/8-3Ip-VSAMk

Good point, and a good video. And this is purely speculation on my part because i haven't had a chance to try one, but by backing it off that little bit to allow it to absorb the finger pressure or hard strum/pick issue, it does that by, at least very slightly, taking a tiny bit of range off the front end of a string bend or vibrato. Now...i can't say that this would even be a perceptible difference in the way I play, but there's something to it, at least in paper.

I asked if anyone had one yet, because I already DO have an Evertune on my Frankenstrat. I wanted to see if others felt the same way about it as I do.

It’s KILLER for rhythm playing; feels awesome for palm muting, and stays perfectly in tune.

But, it doesn’t feel QUITE right for bends. I’ve tried numerous times to set the bend-stop for the LEAST amount of “lag” as possible, but there is still a slight range of bend that doesn’t change pitch immediately, and it takes some getting used to.

I feel it’s a worthy trade off for keeping in tune, though.

My next Carvin WILL have one.

All of my kiesel/carvins stay in tune exceptionally well. When they sit and the climate changes (daily in Texas), It will go a tad flat or sharp. Other than that I feel the bridge is unnecessary. Once I tune up it pretty much stays there.

I do think it is a cool concept and great engineering from seeing it on the web. Never seen one in person yet.

While keeping it in tune once it's set, for long stretches of time is something it can do, that seems to be half of it's bailiwick. The other half is eliminating the effects of a string going slightly sharp when you hit it hard (the low strings, primarily) and notes going sharp if you grip them too tightly, which can especially happen awkward chords where one finger might be pressing too hard, combined with jumbo frets, etc.

I'm so jealous of all you non-floating bridge users out there for having this as an option! I would have this in ALL my guitars if it wasn't an absolute requirement that all my guitars have Floyds! :(

Yeah, I LOVE trems!!!

But I hate going out of tune more.

Evertune claims they will produce a trem version, but they’ve been saying that for maybe 4 years. So if they do invent one, I imagine it’s another 4-5 years away.

Ideally, I want to get another H2, and install an Evertune in it.

However, I can’t get any pics of the inside of the body’s routing to see if it’ll work.

I asked Albert, and he said he didn’t think it would work, BUT, I’ve seen luthiers install the Evertune on semihollow arch-top guitars, so there’s gotta be a way.

Here’s the vid of the guy with the semi-hollow-

That gives me hope that I CAN fit an Evertune into an original H2

I think it would be more of a thing to have a skilled luthier do, and not the factory. It's possible they might need to install some sort of solid blocking inside and around where the bridge goes to reinforce where the bridge might be removing too much material otherwise, and that feels more like something one would have done after-market, or at a fully custom shop.

Or, you could likely order a solid-bodied H2. I know they've done it.

Just the Aries models for now.

But maybe if they sell well enough, Kiesel will include them on other models....

The Crescent, too. Obviously not multi-scale versions...

Wow, cool!

Originally it was ONLY the Aries.... that’s good news that it’s on the Crescent too.
