That Carvin you got for your son is still one of my favourites.
This was one with an option 50 for a more gradual sunburst fading, no?

And this is why I hate it when people call this Carvin "backwards." Look how comfy that looks! Imagine if it were backwards...

I agree! For me the V220 has a super comfy body shape. Really the only downside might be trying to playing while sitting way back in an easy chair or couch. In that situation the lower leg might get in a way a bit. If I play while sitting, I am usually sitting forward anyhow.

No!! Carvin did not start selling Bananas! It's actually one of those fruit shakers but feel free to add tasteless comments. Yes, this was in a bar and yes, it was a few sets into the night. Oh, forgot this is supposed to be about my guitar!

Have not been here for a time - busy I guess and the wife will not allow me to go to to any of the Carvin stores any more , so no new Carvins in my bunch -But I love the ones I have so far.

Here is a recent pic of my SH550 and my CT4 - both are awesome guitars

I do have my eye on a possable ST300 - any helpful ideas in convincing my wife I need another guitar?

But the post was for "you and ONE of your Carvins" I was already pushing it with the SH550 and the CT4 - but if I did one with the DC150 then my AE185, DC127, DC120 and LB75 would get envious. but mabey I can sneak one in..

How to convince your wife you need another guitar:

Compare your guitar habit to the guitar habits of a friend. For instance, I own 6 guitars, one of which is almost not a "real" one, being a decent but old, cheap plywood classical. My wife's good friend's husband, however, owns 10 guitars, and more amps than I do. My close friend owns over 100 guitars and probably 50 expensive amps (believe me, rob_l is a small-timer compared to this guy...).

So adding one or two more guitars "is only fair."

Compare it to other hobbies you could have....golf, with the cost of rounds, or club membership. Or point out how the guitars keep you in the house, to play and practice.

Involve your wife in the color and wood choices, flattering her with her "eye for beauty."

My silly way of doing things is to save money....cash, literally....and surprise her with something expensive that she wants that she wouldn't get on her own, because she thinks it's an extravagance. Since I've pre-saved the cash, she's delighted, because she doesn't see a bill on the credit card or see the bank account balance go down. Then, I use the REST of the money I've saved to order a guitar.

Sell a guitar, if you have one you want to part with, and make sure she knows you've sold it. Then wait a while, and just order another Carvin.
