Hey Dr. Doug!

The new CS is beautiful. I was digging around the internet watching some Five Hundred Pound Furnace vids. Great energy you guys have...keeping the metal strong in Winnipeg!

I love how much of a good time you have playing. It shows through in the pictures.

Here's my tl60 my first Kiesel!! Not the last for sure! The only regret I have with it is that I should have choose the 2+4 headstock.

Me and the stripling, in a shot that the FB Kiesel club seemed to like. (the tagline was "Always hold your wife first thing in the morning, she's stuck through thick and thin with you over the years," or something similar)

I just ordered a set of vintage 80's wind M22N/M22SD, so I can pop in a vintage SD. Like I said I don't mind the new version, the difference in sound if at all is minuscule.. maybe down to the wood spacers (apparently the neck pup is a totally different story with the new ones sounding much different from the original N's). The reason I want to swap in a vintage one is the look of the plastics and the cut--the new ones with the rounded edges and the dull satin finish looks odd against that old neck pup.

So I have a set from an 80's Carvin with black hardware on the way, with lots of wire slack left on it. My bridge pup will be harmonious looking again~~~~ whee!

And a backup for the neck pickup which I hope to never have to use, at least not in this guitar. Millions of miles of song and solo were pumped thru that beautiful M22N, one of the best neck humbuckers I've ever played.. full, round, rich with harmonics (not quite as complex as a true PAF but still multilayered and bursting with beautiful harmonics) but so clear and balanced in a way a PAF could never approach.
Carvin Weaponry:
1985 DC150K (koa) Stereo, M22N/M22SD w/black hardware.
1985 100 Watt X Amp 2 x 12 combo (XV212) upgraded w/ 2 Vintage 30's
...and other gear.

The beloved old LB with the beloved old C750-S with the beloved old Hammond SK2. Here we are in free time accompanying him on "The Morning Train." At the end he somehow gets an old train steam whistle out of that thing. The only tightened up feel is in the final couple of choruses. He's an anachronism that once played with Elvis and with Johnny Cash. I've learned whole other styles from him over the years.

That's so funny you posted that, I was doing some research on Hammond organs yesterday, because I was just noodling around looking up some of the different reverb tanks that went into amps over the years (the original Series III X 100b having the same 3 spring tank that went into the Hammond). This because I was talking about tube reverb, and generally true physical reverb versus digital models of reverb on most amps and pedals nowadays.

Itching to get my mitts on the Carr. Little more than a week....

Very cool. I bet the old boy has some great tales to tell.

He shares very few, but yes he does.

He plays a Hammond church model with the completely enclosed wooden cover, and it has B3 tube and cloth wire guts, two ranks, and the long wooden foot pedals. It RIPS through the old Leslie.

He also has a Hammond travel organ with its own Leslie. I'll look for a pic.

Years back I posted old Mosrite axes including a DN in the Other Gear area - those are his. :)
