Besides...clearly he's already filthy rich because he's wearing TWO layers of pants. Who would do that besides the bourgeoisie?"

Taken yesterday. A local company had a pool party for their employees and hired us to play for it.

We're playing a parade tomorrow and we had to check the gear with the generator today.

Sweet...your trailer had walls. The band I was in back in high school played in the Richfield Days Parade (they could never get enough people to come to their July 4th events because all of the neighboring towns had their own, so they invented a holiday to have a parade, fireworks and fair in August). However, our trailer was just a flat bed. The trailer was being pulled by a tractor, too, so the acceleration was...um...let's say "less than smooth". Every time it tried to pick up speed, it was with a jerky motion. The drummer was at the back of the trailer, facing forward, and every time the tractor "jumped" forward, he would tip back in his throne slightly, and would flail a bit like if you lean back ever-so-slightly too far in a chair and then catch yourself.

We joked that he was playing "Wipe out", praying the whole time that he wouldn't.

We ended up having to turn his 3-leg stool around so that one leg was in the middle in the back to keep it from tipping backwards. Ha!

A good time was had by all...except maybe the drummer...and the parade goers, because honestly, we sucked. :laughhard:

I had more success the next time I performed in that same parade a year or two later:

We had to build those walls or we wouldn't be allowed to play. That's why they're not in the day before pic. We just sort of slapped it together.

I hate i volume/1tone setups. I always accidently hit the volume knob and turn myself down. I think I played Les Pauls for too long.

You and me both. Hate 1V/1T. I've been weened on humbuckers and the Gibson setup since I first held an electric. Aside from the feel, I need the control.

...and other gear.

While not a deal-breaker for me, I do like having individual coil-splitting controls for each pickup.
