If I only had the money, a couple of real good deals on a few basses and a few guitars that got my atention but I'll have to wait a while, wouldn't mind an AC40 or 50 to match my AC275, would have to be inexpensive because it would be just for fun to lay down tracks on my looper then play along with on one of my guitars!
God bless, Pastor Dave

I don't really know anything about the vintage trem or the Wilkinson trem, but the Wilkinson is a nice looking, clean bridge IMO. I've read some of the points of contention with parts wearing down over time and the Wilkinson sometimes sticking and not returing to "home". I've also read both Jeff Beck and Steve Vai stressing the importance of bringing the trems back to their "home" positions. I've watched them play and they both do not do this all the time, but they do actually do this from time to time.

WITH REGARDS TO GUITARS I've been using nut sauce, Big Bends Nut Sauce. It has helped with tuning stability on my Gibby, still not near perfect (I blame the tuners as they are not locking) but I think the nut material is a factor as well. I also use it on my Carvin, it stays in tune for weeks at a time. And even then, the adjustment on one string is so minuscule. I know Nut Sauce won't cure wear and tear on metal parts, but it certainly helps with nut friction (hahaha, I'm mature ... really). But I know this reduced friction at the nut will also reduce the force on the pivot points of any trem, basic physics.

I'd love to hear any experiences with the above noted. Now, go scoupe that beauty up before she is gone ... forever. What a killer deal; that is a lot of guitar for that price!!!

Cheers,

Who ever got that, or gets it eventually, needs to name it "Houdini".

What finish is this? I'm contemplating a new scb6 with a Koa back/neck, natural binding and possibly quilt top and the color....

Yeah, that is a killer guitar and I like the shorter/less-pointy one-off headstock much more. In another thread, Mike Jones, Jeff Kiesel et al said they didn't like it as much.

Hopefully some of the NAMM models will find they're way in here again.
