Round XXXI: "Fretboardiana Jones and the Radius of the Lost Ark'"

Inspired by a thread from a few years ago by mgood, we are designing a guitar, step by step, by votes from the BBS! When we get to the final round, Evster has agreed to do a Photoshop mock-up of the instrument, and We've reached enough funds to be able to buy the guitar to actually see it REALLY built, AND with enough left over to give a healthy chunk as a donation directly to Jason Becker, for his daily care!! Link to the raffle is below. Deadline to buy entries is less than 3 days (details in the raffle thread, linked below)!!

In this round, we are voting on the fret board radius

For those who have been following along...it's official: We've made it through every aesthetic option for this guitar, and the only ones remaining are just for the sake of research, to see which options are the most popular among carvinbbs.com members and can be changed by the winner of the raffle.

Behold! The Final Design:

Photoshop courtesy of our very own Evster! Thanks, dude!! :applause:

Did the standard change since 2008? I don't remember ordering a special radius, but I swore mine was 12".

I ordered a 12", but had to click on it. It was defaulted to 14" (I voted 14" for this one).

Then, I guess I'll vote 12. Not sure I'd notice a difference, but why risk it when my CS6 is the most comfortable neck & fretboard I've ever had.

Voted for 10". Can you tell I'm trying to make this blingy, modern guitar into a vintage guitar?

A little too late for that, but still.

I have a 20" radius DC700, and a 14" SCB7. I prefer the 14. No specific reason why, I just do.

This is kinda moot anyways...is the 20" even available on the 6 without it making it a non-refundable? I don't think the 7 can be had with 12 or 10, either.

Just saw that it's Jason's 50th birthday and it reminded me of this/these thread(s). Good times.

Thanks again, Appollyon, for all that you did with coordinating the funds, etc. I know that was a PITA with Paypal, etc. (Not to mention the extra funds that you put into it above and beyond).

Here was the first thread, before it was even a raffle:

Here is the NGD post from the raffle winner, for anybody who missed it back then:

Here's the post showing the card we sent with the donation check:

Here was the "Thank you" card we got back from Jason's family:
