The absence of the pickguard doesn't work for me either.
Also the headstock isn't working at all here.

Maybe a differnet finish would help?
Jet black, SS, tele bridge, maple board, black dots.....
Headstock. ..........?
Idk. Inline? Revesed? Holdsworth?

My wife loved this one. Usually she just ignores me when I'm looking at guitars online.
