An effective and attractive use of the contrasting bevel, for sure!

Good gracious, that Osiris!! That's all one solid slab from top to bottom. That's the closest I've seen to something touching the old solid figured koa 200's and 150's. The vertical striping and dark streak running down one side off center, but not on the other, the black hardware.. ebony board... reminds me a lot of my 150. It's almost like they were specifically looking to recreate those eighties koa guitars.

The moment I saw that one, I thought, "That's some nice striping...you know who will probably get a kick out of this one..."

Oh yeah i was thinking the same thing LOL. And wow how beautiful it is, Koa dreams for sure. Doctorturn is going to seriously like that one.
Black ebony board and hardware embraced in the warm cinnamon glow of the Hawaiian Gods. It’s seriously drool worthy.

That's awesome. Think they would do that for an SCB6? Just one piece of solid koa?
It would probably be my next build of I wasn't slowly creeping into poverty.

Well, the SCB is a neck through, so you will have to solid KOA body wings, but that is totally doable. You could also pair it with a KOA neck as well... That maybe two pieces though.

It would wind up something along these lines, but for the hill and the bevel of the SCB (this satin SC is on verb now).

I don't know how thick the body gets vs the Osiris and the 90, which they did do it. Fair warning, they WON'T do it for a CS, because of the Carved top. Don't know where the SCB falls in with all of that width.

The bevel is the reason my current build is a CS6. I really wanted a flamed top with trans white finish and although I like the SCB shape, I really HATE how the bevel cuts away the top.
They look cool when the use solid colours or a singlw wood type though. Like that red mahogany one that was here a little while back.

I can't quite explain why, but I really like that one!

There's a cs6x with a quilt top that's gorgeous as well.
