This has WIN all over it.

edit:
Thinking out loud--wonder if they'd do a non-beveled Aries, but add Vader bevels

It looks great! Is the forearm contour as comfortable as the standard Aries?

For me, the standard Aries is more comfortable.

Beautiful guitar! Congratulations. :applause:
Is that top 10mm thick? Wow, how thick are those Aries?
I'm curious how the Royal Ebony feels, compared to regular. Is the feel consistent on the different colored areas?
Enjoy.

7A? I feel like we're kind of making up grades now.

I mean...to be clear, they are all kind of made up, as there's no official governing body that grades the wood...it's all sorta arbitrary in a way because one company's AA is another's AAA and there's nothing to stop them.

Absolutely true spud.. but I have to agree, even in the land of made up appellations, "7A" is really pushing into the borders of sci fi. It's a very very pretty piece of wood, let's not mess around here... but I think a 7 is a bit silly. It starts to get to the point where, if you go too berserk with your numbers, they cease to mean anything at all.

Like this thorn is a 5A koa top:

Can we go with "cool looking" and "less cool looking"?

I would estimate that the finished top is about 4-4.5 mm thick.
The feel is consistent over the entire board, but I have a light touch and jumbo frets so there isn't a lot of skin contact with the royal ebony.

I apologize for the 7A+ grade.
Arbitrary or not, those were Jeff's words, and I trust his opinion.

I really don't have a favorite.
The one that gets the most play time is my AAT Bolt Plus, but that is due to it's light weight (approx 5.8 lbs).

Without the bevel it looks like a bolt on DC600.

Not trying to be negative.

It could very well be just that, with the different scale.

Throwing in those Thorn pics shows that Kiesel can hold their own against the big, and I mean BIG boys. This is every bit as stunning as what Ron puts out and I've spent an embarrassing amount of time drooling over his stuff. (I expect 'Turn has too...)

Is it just me or does that mahogany look really light? I know it varies a lot, but on this build it seems really pale, especially the neck. Not saying that's bad, I just had to do a double take cause it looked like alder and maple to me at first.
