I had a similar experience this past week. I have a pretty unique "dad" guitar build in and on Wednesday, the guitar made a brief appearance on GIS... and then it sold in about 1 hour. Naturally, I was in a bit of a panic. I called in and tried to get some help. They basically told me, Hey, we build lots of similar guitars. Which I can understand their point of view but, I knew this was my guitar.
Fortunately, I saved the link for the GIS and sent a note to sales including my order number, asking if there was some kind of mistake. Noble got back to me right away and explained that the GIS was in fact my original build but, there was 1 mistake made and so they had to rebuild the guitar. The good news is that the rebuild is already done and should ship this next week.
I really appreciate that Kiesel makes it right. They don't call you and say well, we messed this up, can you live with it.
So, as my rambling comes to an end I would say that either 1 of 2 things happened.
1) They loved your build specs and decided to make more of them.
2) You have a similar situation as mine.
I hope all works out for you.
No worries at all!
I returned it ages ago. I was surprised to see it in GIS with a piezo upgrade after all this time.
As soon as I posted it here, BAM!!!! It was gone!
I'm 100% positive it was mine. Same flame top. Same skinny lizard burst.
The photo is back a page or so.
