The figuring around the bridge on the beveled black raw tone DC700 is killer!

They have since revised the Raw Tone finish. Now it's even thin enough to work on other woods. I don't know if it's a process or formulation change, but it's certainly more apparent.

Yeah mine was an early one. Not much grain in the ash.
The clear mahogany back on mine is raw tone and very porous.

I know they keep saying that the lighting and photos are tweaked to make them look like they do in real life, but the only "real life" situation these represent are standing on the surface of the sun.

If I wouldn't have just ordered my aries I would have bought that blue fade right away when I saw it posted last night.

Is the board on that white ST purple heart, or is it treated?

And WHERE, may I ask, are the CS's??? None in stock.. :naughty:

Unless I come across a mint vintage Super Swede, my vintage buying is done for now and my sights are zoomed right back onto a new single cut. Probably will be aCS.. I would love it if they made a long scale version like the Gibson CS Long Scale Les Paul, or Northen SS.

But it's not a dire necessity as I have one. Just would be nice....

It's purple heart, but absolutely bathed in light.

There would be CSs if people stopped buying them. ;)

If people keep buying them, maybe they should stock more?

..... And that, fair skully, is what I was getting at in my first comment! It's a murderously great guitar, and there should be more of them.

And thank god they sold that tobacco teardrop burst CS with the magic marker like edge fade.

Yeah, but people keep buying them, so then there won't be any more.
