Excellent, that top is insane. I really like the burst color too.
Definitely try to get some outdoor pics when you can, an axe that fine just begs to be seen in sunlight.

I LOVE The Back! I knew it was going to look killer, but way better then I imagined! I Love the blacked out headstock.

After playing for hours I really love the guitar a ton. Plays like a dream and feels perfect. Very happy!

Thanks!

Hey how do you like that purple CT6? I am thinking about getting one next. I want it to have tone closer to a LP or PRS Mccarty. What PUPs do you have?

Holy *&^king &%$#!!!

Dude that is literally one of the coolest guitars I've ever seen. I guess I'm going to have to be the one to point out the super sick elephant in the room about that guitar. Look again, all:

Image

There is a grinning death's head/skull clear as day on this thing... above the bridge pickup, two eyes, complete with high skull cheekbones beneath each one. The nasal cavity right where it should be. Then under that, the humbucker looks like the grinning teeth and jaw. I'd print it out and draw around it to bring it out but it's so clear.

This is all aside from the coolness of the burst/wood/etc.
You're a lucky dude. Enjoy that stroke of luck axe! They did you solid with that guitar, and that's an awesome feeling. (I had that experience myself once upon a time with my old build, and I still love Mark for it, and never will stop loving him for it)

...and other gear.

Thanks back atcha. 8)
Love all my CTs (have several, but my web site is currently hosed - 1 day I'll fix that, d/l all the pix from PB into a similar dir path on my domain, and rename the root dir references in the html... I just need the time, or a clone).
This one has the S22s (J/B) - I like 'em. I don't play this one much, mostly because its a case/closet queen, I s'pose. But it plays, feels, and sounds great. I've done a bit of Carvin p/up chasing in my CTs - the S22s work fine. I have a preference for the uncovered M22T / C22J, but the covered S22s do the job too.

Thanks man! Honestly all I was looking for was a little shredder style guitar with a solid non-locking trem. Was looking at Ibanez but found the hipshot and then went crazy lol! I am a woodworker so the burl just spoke to me.

So you see no need to upgrade P/ups ? I am looking to try and get a vintage LP sound. Do you have any with a trem? How does it effect the tone and sustain? Do you see any reason to upgrade the electronics?

I'm not sure, since you quoted me, if you're asking me or cow. But if you're chasing Les Paul tone and you've got Lithiums in there, I can't think of anything further from a Les Paul tone.

If I were you and you were looking specifically for a PAF tone without any bumps in output or tone notchups, I would just go to Gibson or a PAF clone winder (Manlius Landmarks are incredible clones and you can have him wind them however you'd like)... https://www.manliusguitar.com/products/landmark-paf

The Holdsworths are not PAF, really, and M22's are bumped PAF style pups, and the C22's are too bright to my ears to replicate a PAF. If you want that exact sound I would go elsewhere. I'm eventually coming to this company for another LP style guitar (vs my old 24.74 150 with the vintage original M22's made specifically to combat shawbuckers and Tarbacks), and I'm going to drop Manlius Landmark PAF's in there.

Honestly, just asking anyone. This dc600 has the Lithiums and I actually really like them. But for my CT6 I want as close to a LP vintge tone as I can get. So I am looking for any and all advice.

Thanks!

I'm with Doc on this one. S22s, C22s (B especially), M22s are kinda hot(ter) p/ups.
I change p/ups more than "upgrade" ... different flavors of ice cream, or pizza with diff toppings. I have 2 CTs with trems, 1 Wilky, 1 Floyd. I have a thread elsewhere (pix may be dead in it, thx PB) about issues I've had with the e string thru the FR locking nut (standard CT headstock), but I'm in a minority - but not alone. YMMV. I don't whammy much so prefer a hard tail. Electronics work for me, no need to swap ... had to replace a selector switch or 2 tho.
I have an EPI LP with Probuckers, and they are less hot than M22s, C22s, S22s, and more classic. The neck sounds very good ... the bridge could be hotter at times for my use, but workable. Cant swap these out easily due to the use of circuit board and connectors EPI went with.
