NGD: Vader VM7

My second Vader and my first 7 string multiscale. Spent two days with it and simply LOVE IT! The quilted top is spectacular.

Kudos to Noble at Kiesel. When I created my online build sheet I mistakenly chose a Lizardburst quilted maple top. Got in touch with him and let him know that I actually wanted Deep Umber. He made it right and I couldn't be happier - even my wife was blown away when I opened the case. And she's seen over a hundred guitars up close in the 30+ years we've been together.

Alder body (solid)
Rock maple neck
Ebony board

Getting use to the multi-scale took all of 10 minutes. Learning how to best incorporate the low B into chords is going to take a bit longer.

As with my VX6, the quality, attention to detail, tones, and craftsmanship is on par with anyone.

I would have lost money on a bet that that top was not quilt. I hate to say this but that may be my favorite top of all time. I want it. Well done. Enjoy as I know you will.

Well since you have all those years behind your belt I will assume you have plenty of riffs you have made up over the years. I found I can pull them out and play everything up one string and 50% sounds pretty good. I find a small change in tempo and perhaps a addition or removal of a note hear and there and it works great. I just keep pulling out all the stuff I have been playing and give it a shot to see if it works on b. That was the fastest way to get stuff to play and keep myself entertained.
So far I have written a scant few actual songs for my seven. I wrote one I enjoy playing so much I cant stop playing it and am neglecting learning new stuff.
Also I need to break the habit of playing a b string "chug chug" before anything else. It is hard for me not to do .
