Overdue NBD: LB75

Postby cavemaniac » Wed Oct 11, 2017 5:49 am

I received this bass just shy of 13 months ago. Thought I'd share it. Also, before people start asking about how I got the Carvin logo on the headstock, it simply was an available option back then; I believe that has been discontinued from the start of this year.

For the record, the guys promptly shipped me matching gold saddles when I pointed out that may have been errenously omitted. I count that as good service.

That is a gorgeous bass! It's very elegant and looks like a joy to play. Thanks for posting.

Indeed it is. this, too, is my first 5 stringer. the neck is tremendously comfortable (I have been using a 4 string Warwick for almost 10 years, first bass, chunky neck, not in a bad way) and I didn't have a problem purring on it almost immediately.

Awesome! Such cool walnut, not to mention the royal ebony

Always good to see more LBs out there, congrats and enjoy

Thanks Mike! I am pretty pleased with how it all turned out too. I do like that the royal ebony didn't turn out too loud; got lucky there since I did not specifically mention that to Izzy, who was helping me out with my build while he was around.

Also, this is just one of my two LBs ;p will post the other one when I'm up for it. I have to admit I can be pretty boring when it comes to body shapes. The newer things are nice to look at and all, but what we like to hold is another story eh?

That's a real beauty!!
No one does walnut and maple like the Kiesel crew.
Major belated congrats, and yes the LB is a classic for a reason.

The Walnut on that is fricken amazing, and the Maple helps set it off, IMO.
