LOL same here. After the guitars, the very next things I noticed were the MP-1s and slant 212s.

Funny you guys say that, the thing I see is that gorgeous oak cab 1 x 12 XT112 with the EVM 12". That is a painfully, punishingly loud 1 x 12 combo, and is the 1 x 12 sister to my XV212C from the same original run of 6L6GC Series III X100B heads (in this case upside down in the combo)... didn't know you had one of these. I put these first run of these amps up against virtually anything. There is no clean channel on the face of god's great earth that can hang with Channel one on these Series III's. Fender should fall to the floor in supplication and groveling...

I noticed the Oak Cab XT112 too. Very Nice! You don't see those very often.
I have the regular tolex 1x12 E version with the EV12L speaker. You're not kidding about those being LOUD!!!

Koaboy, I'm going out on a limb, and assuming you don't have cats. My 2x12 carpet covered cab is the go to scratch toy. My cats uncovered my Carpeted Thiele cab, then moved on to the Carvin. I figure it keeps them away from everything else, so I let them enjoy it. (Looks bad.....sounds great) When they get bored of it, I'll cover it with Tolex.
They have their own carpet condo, but there is something about that grey carpet on those cabs/amps. :?:

I am a "real" man so of course I have cats  , see my "pets and Carvins" club shot and I could add many more to that, I have a cover for the vintage amps when not using and I have those floor scratchers that keep them mostly occupied... ... It's all under control !

Dr Turn thanks and you would love mine as it's "like new" now besides the "kicked in" worn lower tweed, when I bought it it had a "fuzz" caused by dry rot in speaker cone and noise from dried up caps... BUT... it had the original EV speaker and had really clean SVETLANA Winged C 6L6gc's in it !! prob an attempt to "fix" at one time ?? so I took the speak to a dude local to me that can re-cone and make better than new because new age materials and then I performed a total cap job on her including all electrolytic caps including the NP/BP caps (these are crucial as the signal passes through them - conditioning the signal) the result was/is a like new studio clean ready to mic amp ... I also have vintage Japanese and old vintage RCA/Baldwin 6L6's and also vintage 12ax7 pre's that are so fun to compare/play with in this amp such a great built amp... yep u can blow your drums out with her hahah

Thanks ElfDude, means alot coming from a "Carvin Master" like you, the first Carvin I purchased was in 1992 I think, from my metal days early custom shop build DC200 w/Kahler/floyd with that Electric Green, but I sold it with all of my gear after I got married back then to pay for mower and computer n family stuff, I can prove it too lol I have video somewhere of me playing it with old band playing JP Breaking the law and others !! vintage love !!

thanks ADA rack into guy's - another joy of mine being an electronic tech because their tube pre's were really cool to mod and 1 of those is not a guitar pre it's an MQ-1 analog but digitally controlled programmable EQ very rare - u can run thru it electronic drums / vocals/ keys whatever and change EQ patches via footswitch or midi for diff feel, very powerful and clean studio level unit....

MQ-1, sweet! I do remember those! I couldn't afford one because my MP-1 at the time was my biggest investment. I had an old analog EQ with manual sliders, loaned to me by the band. Years later, I replaced it with a TC1128 EQ (also analog, but digital control). I did a few functionality mods to my MP-1, but no mods that affected the fundamental tone. If you're interested, there's a small, but active community at adadepot.com. :)

Yep I was part of the ADA Depot forum for many years, then the site went down and we formed a facebook group and then another guy resurfaced it but I kinda moved on after that... most of my ADA stuff I bough broken for cheap and then fixed...
