NGD - CS3

Postby silvergoat2k6 » Tue Dec 26, 2017 7:30 am

For those of you who didn't read about it and see it on FB, my new CS3 arrived on Christmas Eve. It came out just as I pictured it, and it plays and sounds great as you would expect. A big thank you again to Chris for all his help and friendship.

Suhhh--weeeet! I bet you felt like bells and whistles went off and balloons rained down from the ceiling when you popped that there case open. That is a super beautiful CS, I pretty much like your choices in all directions (very much love that you went with the traditional paddle/L6-S style headstock which imho really works the best for LP style and semi hollow (basically what I would say are "Gibson-style") guitars. I know some will say the string pull is straight on the small CT headstock, but a little nut sauce (which I used on all of my guitars) pretty much makes this a non-issue, most especially if you have a good graphite (or synthetic TUSQ) nut... which that looks like on yours. I have the same nut on 2 of my LP style singlecuts, and they're superb.

That CS is a very large flatbed truck full of "Oh yes--Oh ab-so-LOOT-ley YES!"

Enjoy that sweet dignified tone machine and happy holidays!

That goes immediately on the all-time best build list.

That color combination gets my vote to become a standard. Did Cloud Burst officially win for it's name? It should. Just a spectacular build Silvergoat, and I am so happy for you on this!!

Now that's a looker!

When I see this guitar I immediately think of American Graffiti...hot rods cruising down the boulevard with Wolfman Jack on the radio.

What a guitar! :applause:

Very, very cool. What a great concept. Merry Christmas to you indeed. Glad to hear that it meets and even exceeds all your expectations.
