Got some really nice wood for this build and for this one I think I'm gonna go for a more heavy ALL dense wood bass with EMG JJ pickups

So far I'm at a kind of at a stand-still bc I'm waiting on the neck from Carvin/Kiesel. I finally got a tracking number yesterday for this friday, but that could be the other hardware I ordered. fingers-crossed :wall:

However, if it is the neck, I'll be working non-stop so probably (with drying time) a week or 2

Got my neck in (it's a little lighter than I wanted) but hey I can always stain it.

image7.jpeg
Cut out a rough of the top and bottom laminates,
image1.jpeg
routed the section where the fretboard must seat

and once I cut out the depth of the thickness of the top laminate from the body of the neck I can begin gluing.

Got the Headstock roughly shaped
22549917_10101986103998857_2101914774888812834_n.jpg
and got the depth of the neck perfectly flat to glue a 1/4" piece of Wenge tone wood.

After gluing the body I flush routed the top laminate and rounded it, then carved the neck heel.

Just got these 2 items in the mail today, now I can't decide on whether to put the MECs in or the EMGs.

Pickup cavities and 2 piece bridge are good and I’m gluing a little ramp onto the bottom of the fretboard.
