After stripping it down I then converted it from an arch top to a flat top.

Ok so what I did while I wait for my EMGs to get here is take the really, and I mean REALLY cheap humbuckers it came with, remove the old volume and tone pot and use some extra EMG tone and master volume pots I had lying around. I had to do a little soldering but hey, she weirdly sounds like a completely different guitar. It's great! However I am still waiting for the 81 and 85s to get here, which means I'll need at least one more hole drilled.

One last addition, string ferrules and an LED to show off the string through body!

Now that is insanely creative. Or creatively insane. Can't decide. I love it!

So.... sad news. I got my EMGs in I wired them up and they didn't work... I contacted EMG about them and turns out the people I got them from are notorious for counterfeits. Apparently the serial numbers these people used were from a shipment of like 150 of them that were sold to Gibson back in 2013... So watch out for deals that come from the website Alibaba.com.

Sadly, I can't get my money back either, something like you have 14 days to return them but they take 27 days to get to you...

If that happened to me, I'd explain the situation to the credit card company (if I used one) and they would take the money back. They've done it before for me when dealing with unreasonable merchants. Just a FYI if it's something doable for you.

Oh yeah I've done that, so it's not a total loss.
