Very cool. As usual lots of different parts woven nicely together. The heavy prog part at about 3:45-4:00 was nice.

Thanks for sharing!

Very cool Doc, another gem. You've got a really unique approach and I love the layered, riffing style that is reminiscent of classic prog. The heavy riff that kicks in about 3/4 through to mirror the higher part is great. Definitely 14lbs. of tone there.

Thanks a bunch. Much obliged, a good portion of the song is the new guitar going through the XV212, but the song ends with the Carvin.. the part that pops into the right ear after that mirrored figure you were talking about which follows the crunch chord breakdown (which is also dominated by the M22SD). That Carvin solo is using the 22SD slathered in the Hammond spring reverb in the amp, and I screwed the whammy bar into the Kahler and held the bar in my hand while soloing to give it that wobbly dreary sound during the final solo on the r/h side of the mix.

Koa always deserves the last word!

Lots of Carvin koa on here along with some gloomy P90 action. Trying to capture that lost psychedelic vibe with something of a modern edge:

Took friday off and had a 4 day weekend, and cleaned out my board of some work that had been lingering.

I had mentioned a while back that I was working in a song with the Les Paul Special on the left and the Hagstrom Super Swede P90S on the right. Finally got around to mastering it today after finishing the song I put up yesterday. Song is all P90 action, but for the solo which is the Northen Super on 2 different takes/tracks harmonizing with itself in single coil mode... all pushed through the Carvin XV212.

Sweet Miss Marisol.

Every wholesome American musician should have at least one song about a prostitute. :laughhard:

incredible that you doped that out about me. The dude in the pic is just an annoying stand in who wants to be cute. I'm actually Richard Nixon (I'm actually alive, I just couldn't stand the bullshit from the press, so I faked my own flop).

Whistling Past The Graveyard

Pulled a young jazz program grad into the studio last week for this one. Musically pretty simple, but we laid down some heavy drum tracks to the original Heart of Ashes/Execution Night, which I hope to remix and get up soon.

Reupload with full drumkit, drums laid down last Sunday. Nice illustration of the roar of P90's. Also have proper remixes coming of Green Valley Farms, and the original Heart of Ashes - Execution Night... but they're huge automation/mixing jobs. Hope to have Green Valley done this weekend.

Redone, some sections changed up a bit, remixed with live drums with my new guy, who did some nicely aggressive work here, especially at the close. Definitely one of the better things I've done.
