Bad BAd BAD

Postby esc » Tue Sep 01, 2020 9:17 am

I spend over 3k on a Kiesel guitar and bass here and they feel and sound like they just got off a boat from China.
Absolutely pitiful setups (if any). No intonation, and they go out of tune with normal playing.

Yeah they look great.. But. :wall:

Wow that is unfortunate. I have never heard of this happening on a new build like that.
Kiesel's:
2017 DCM8, 2020 Vader 7X (Used to have an Aries 7H with Piezo but regretfully sold it)

Other's:
Cheap Peavey Strat (1st axe ever), Ernie Ball JP13, 2018 Dingwall NG-3 5 string, 2017 Warwick RB Corvette 6 string

This never used to happen until you know who made terrible company changes.

Well I found out that the regular ball end strings - like the Elixir, and practically all strings (except the Fender Bullets) do not come back to the same position after using the Kiesel/Hipshot Trem., thus causing the strings to go out of tune. This does not happen with the Fender Bullets. Fender designed the Bullets for this reason. The Fender Trem bridge and the Kiesel/Hipshot Trem are very similar. I'm not here to endorse Fender products, but look it up and you'll see. Why doesn't Kiesel know this?

You may or may not know that if you pull-up and strings go sharp it's a bridge issue. If they go flat after a dive - it's a bridge issue. Otherwise it's the nut.

I also found that even though I sent the 6 string back for repair and they said they put on a new trem, it came back (after a month) practically the same.

Still investigating why this guitar goes out of tune easily.
