CC275 buzzing

I have a CC275 12 string with a buzzing sound. My guitar guy determined it was the preamp board. Anyone else has or had this issue? Was thinking of getting an AE 185 but not sure now

Update: My guitar tech spoke to Albert and they determined it is the preamp and he was going to ship one to him but now they don't have any stock. Now I am speaking to Joe the Service Manager and he confirmed they have no stock and said they should be getting word from their supplier. Emailed this morning with no response. I'm concerned because the initial talk with my tech and Albert has been almost a month now. My CC275 is almost totally unusable and its still under warranty. I'm also worried if it goes bad again its not like I can get an aftermarket one unless someone here knows where I can get one?

Update: My guitar tech spoke to Albert and they determined it is the preamp and he was going to ship one to him but now they don't have any stock. Always a risk with electronics you don't make in-house. I had an old Charvel acoustic electric that had the electronics in the side of the body. The unit died, and I tried to replace it, but the cutout was larger than any preamp unit I could find at the time. Everything was smaller and would just pop through the hole without adding a whole bunch of internal bracing and something to patch the gaps.

It's possible there may be another graphtech unit that could be a drop-in. If Kiesel just don't have access to the parts anymore, then it may very well need to just have the electronics replaced. I don't recall who made the electronics for those, and it may depend on the age, but if the internals were Graphtech or Fishman, you may be able to contact them directly with the part numbers on the boards and they might be able to tell you which parts they have that might be direct replacements.

Sometimes it's just easier/quicker to go direct through the OEM's than through Kiesel (and in my limited experience, that's not a change since they were Carvin). For example, when I had Sperzel tuners fail, just contacting Sperzel was the way to go. Same with Hipshot with saddle issues.

Not saying any of the above as some sort of excuse, just offering some advice/suggestions to help you get it up-and-running!

Dude thank you! I will try that, I hate when one of my wooden babies are sick. It’s just they say they warranty their guitars for 5 years they should really stand by that.

FWIW, I bought my AE185 brand new in 2002. It has never had any issues.

Update.....

Absolutely nothing. Emailed Joe 2 times with no response. This CC275 is still under warranty. My guitar guy spoke to I believe Albert on January 29th and Albert told my guitar tech he would send the part. It’s been almost a month! I will call Joe or someone in Service next week if I don’t hear anything.

Thanks man, I was getting really worried. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again? Should I turn the volume all the way down when I plug in the guitar cord?
