I absolute love the guitar but I am noticing after I play (even for short amounts of time) that the color from the fretboard will rub off on my fingers like a marker or pen. I wanted to know if this is common and is there anything I can do to fix the issue. Thanks.
Jeff has commented a few times in videos that his KTB process is quite durable for nearly all of the colors. About a month ago, even held up his own guitar with "Fire" finish, which includes a red KTB board and noted that it had been played quite a lot and still looked near new. However, some artists who tour and often play long sweaty shows, have managed to wear their KTB noticeably, after approximately one year of use.
You are going to have to call them. This is a potential warranty issue.
