Removing the ink from a treated fretboard?

Postby solazy » Thu Jan 04, 2018 4:01 pm

I have a kiesel vader with a blue treated fretboard. I have noticed the ink runs off on my fingers similar to a pen or marker. I bought this used so I do not believe there is a warranty on it. So is there a safe way to reduce the amount of ink on the fretboard?

I am just thinking in a different direction. I wonder if you put a finish like tung oil over it ???

Try calling kiesel anyway. Jeff does those boards himself. He probably would like to make it right if something is wrong with it. But then again I do not know if that is "normal" or not. Hopefully someone with experience will chime in.

Sorry I could not be of any real help.
Good luck.
