Back Here Again!

Postby SilkyHotLicks » Thu Sep 12, 2019 10:58 am

I thought that I wouldn't be back here so soon. But the fear of not being able to get the Howe Bridge / Holdsworth Neck pickup combo has been eating at me for a while now. So here is my 6th Kiesel.

DC600 - Right Handed

Black Limba Neck & Body
Black Limba Headstock
26.5 Inch Scale
Blackburst Edges
Black Sides w/ Black Burst Back
Tung Oil Finish Back Of Neck
Hipshot/Kiesel Tremolo System
Acoustic Saddles
Clear Gloss Finish
Thinner Neck Profile
H33 Headstock
Royal Ebony Fingerboard
Offset Dot Abalone Inlays
Gold Jumbo Frets
Gold Hardware
Kiesel Greg Howe Parallax Passive Bridge Pickup
Kiesel Holdsworth Passive Neck Pickup
Black Pickup Covers
Kiesel Lithium/Beryllium Gold Pickup Poles
Gold Metallic Logo
Tamarind Wood Knobs
Dunlop Straplocks
Ebony Rear Electronics Cavity Cover
Ebony Truss Rod Cover

This is the last one! I really mean it this time! But if I could talk Jeff into building an all rosewood 7 string NS1 I'd change my mind :D

Hey SillyHotLicks. Congrats on the new build. I'm eagerly waiting my first bass, an Icon 5 string, and it'll be my 3rd one of the year.

I think you can get Jeff to do an NS1 with a Cocobolo neck and Cocobolo top. The body wood would have to be different, but I think it's pretty close to what you want. She'll be heavy. Really heavy. But beautiful.

I received notice on 12/9/19 that my guitar was ready. I didn't have the money to get it at the time and was told that a $100 fee would be charged for storage. You see, I just sank $100K into a new company and I just didn't have it.

On 1/13/20 I received an email stating that the guitar would be held for 1 week longer before the storage fee would be applied.

On 1/27/20 I told Kiesel that I would have the funds in two days. That's when they told me that my guitar order had been cancelled and I had been charged a 20% storage fee.

I own 3 Carvins (C66, V69K, SH675) and 5 Kiesels (C7X, SH7X, VB6, ZA7, OM7) I've paid for each instantly, not on credit but directly out of my bank account when the payment was due. I thought that I would have gotten more time from Kiesel.

Anyway, more than likely my days as a Kiesel fanboy are over. I'll keep playing my Kiesel guitars. They're great guitars, but I will not use them for any more public gigs or in any upcoming videos. :(

Just got a call from Synchrony Bank. It turns out that this fiasco has caused me to owe them $672.12 to cover the 20% that Kiesel took from me.

That sucks man but I wouldn’t put the fault with Kiesel.
