I was hoping for Christmas, but alas...

Ordered late october, so that was a long shot. Option-wise, mostly standard, save for custom electronics.

A8
all mahogany, tung oil
ebony board, no inlays
med-jumbo frets (in hindsight, should've gone with jumbo, though maybe I'll like it)
chrome hardware
white Tusk nut
pearloid buttons (for lighter weight; I'd prefer if they offered ebony or ivroid buttons)
cream-black zebra bobbins
hipshot/piezo bridge
custom electronics: push-pull vol & tone series/parallel for each pickup, 3-way switch

I was going for a Les Paulish look.

One thing I was disappointed to learn is that they no longer allow you to get a logo color that matches the headstock color. But I get it.

Do you mean black-on-black or white-on-white (and probably the same for KRG, red and pink)? Yeah, I think they put that in place...I feel like at least 2 years ago. I could be mistaken, but that's what it feels like anyway. The least-badged they will let a guitar do out with is having a contrasting "drop shadow". Like "black headstock, with black logo with white drop shadow" or similar.

Guitar sounds cool, though. Because you're going with all tung-oil, were you limited to just the one chrome logo option, or are you going with one of the others with a "raw tone satin" front of headstock (which was their automatic default for a long while, and satin before that, since all but that one chrome logo need to be under a layer of finish)?

I was generally mindful of aesthetics, but ultimately wasn't willing to pay more for a different headstock finish just to get a different logo style. That's 2 extra expenses. Felt a little bad for Keith at the other end because it's been several years since I ordered and the change took me by surprise, so I was like "ummmm, uhhhh, hmmmm..." for what seemed like several minutes.
