Brainstorming my next build

Postby YaiiE » Mon Sep 18, 2017 10:58 pm

Hey guys,

I was hoping to get your input. I was thinking...
Dc600h
25.5 scale
Fixed bridge
20" radius
Thnn neck option
"Regular" stainless frets

Do you see any issues with this setup?! I was wanting to try a flat radius! I have smaller hands So I was thinking the thnn might be a nice upgrade?

I want to get the action as low as possible! I like more contact with the board. Just nervous...

What do you think?!

As always, thank you!!

Your build ideas are fine.

I have guitars that range from 9.5" to 20" radius and I also have smaller hands. In my opinion, comfort will not come from a flatter radius, but a flatter radius may make certain playing styles and genres easier.

If you're doing a lot of chording (Steely Dan, darn you!), then I find a 12" radius much more comfortable. If you're doing a lot of single-string work, then a flatter radius may feel more comfortable.

The thinner neck profile may give you some more comfort, but the difference between the regular neck thickness and the thinner one is remarkably little.
