Sounds like it'll be a modern take on a classic beauty. Great idea on the finish collage. i did something similar, and it was very helpful. :) I ended up ordering something else instead, but knew it was something I'd have to do again when the time came.

Have you already ordered it? Did they say anything about the neck finish?

While I love satin necks (even more than tung), I don't think I could swallow the up-charge and non-returnability of it on bolt-ons. I'm glad I got my Aries order in right before they changed it!

A while back, they took away the neck finish options on bolt-ons because it took so much more labor to get the heel and pocket to fit properly with the extra layers of finish. They increased the price to something like $200, and then made it non-returnable because if someone returned it, there's no way they'd get their $200 again when trying to re-sell the guitar.

Surprisingly, only a $70.00 upcharge for the satin neck...

Did it waive the 10-day trial?
