NIB, does your ST300 have a mahogany back? What pickups did you get with it? Every time I see a picture of your ST, I just want to jump inside the pictures and play it!

Thanks again fellas:)

Yeah, neck and body are mahogany, with default 22's pickups.
Just discovered interesting thing about them. They always felt a little bit harsh/trebly to me, especially on my previous all walnut dc127 (but neck pickup sounded better in it then does in this ST300 i think). So this time I got mahogany body and it did balance the tone a lot.
But where this setup really shines is in more or less loud situation (which a almost never can do living in New York apartment with 2 kids). All sharpness that was left from the pickups disappears and you end up with tight powerful tone with awesome definition that will cut through everything.

NIB ! Holy Crap ! That's a heck of a way to enter the ST club... I second the motion that those pics were guitarporn ! Congrats !

The sad thing is that this thread has produced ST lust... Oh boy....

And that KOA ST on one of the earlier pages was awesome too !!

Walnut certainly wears matte well! Nice choices NIB. Your making me rethink my next build. Love the color and figuring in that top.

I didn't realize the blue would be this dark. (Maybe I should have gotten the white logo.)

Thanks. I'm really diggin it. I'm looking at it as much as playing it, and didnt think it'd be that much of a "looker", really. It does all gel together.

Yes it has. Crazy huh?

Currently I'm focusing my energies and funds on my studio so I can use my two Carvin axes to record a new CD. But I'm thinking my next Carvin will be either an Ultra V or a kit. I'm really wanting to do a swirl paint job. :)

But studio gear first........ ;)
