I wish they came in at that weight. I had a CS4 that was 10ish-11. My current CS4S is exactly 9lbs and I paid an upcharge to sort for light wood.

Got a response back from my sales person that Carvin will do a chambered CS for a $500 upcharge. Ouch....but still good to know.

So I guess I'm in the minority with the fact that I actually really like a hefty guitar? Haha, I totally understand your reasoning though.

Yeah. That GIS guitar I just bought is 8.5lbs. Not bad and I am going to add an Aluminum Stop Bar and plastic vol/tone knobs (just my personal preference). That will knock a few ounces off the weight of the guitar believe it or not.

Right there with you, Fox. Some guitars are just meant to be weighty, the CS style especially.

Hey, X--what's the 411 on your Goldie's weight?

Yeah...we're in the minority, but I like a heavier guitar too. Koa and walnut bodies are awesome!

X, Killer guitar! Be sure to add it to the Gold Top Club. I like the changed controls more than I thought I would. Nice job!

Thx S!!!! The changed control layout works great for what I do & it looks great too! I'm loving the C22N Neck pup tone & still can't believe how much better it sounds on this CS. It sounds ok in my CT, but not stellar like this!

I don't think you are, heck, I didn't even know you had a CS let alone two! I love them both being a sucker for blues and reds ... and guitar porn in general. Nice to have you.

Cheers.

I'm a brand newbie around these parts! Here is my CS6... It's actually the one from the most current catalog.

Snowblind, that is one of the coolest faded denim builds that I've seen!!! I love your wood choice and options, can't wait to see your NGD post when you finally get it Bro. I still can't believe it's not a standard color, it's so good.

Welcome to the forum. :applause: :applause: :applause:

Cheers,

Thank you very much. I actually have the guitar now. I have had it for about 2 months but just found the forum yesterday so I thought to post it as my first post. I'll have this baby out on tour next month so there will be great live shots! :applause:
