Well I'm curious  :D what's in there dude? I've seen those adjustable pole-piece single coils somewhere,... hmmmm Suhr's?

Do share some details please, looks great, but what are they and how they sounding?

They are Guitar-Logistics Diablo pickups. Tone control pulls up to split the humbucker and the switch is your standard five way affair. He also cut the pickguard on his CNC and installed everything. They sound like great fat single coils and a well balanced humbucker.

I guess I can join this club since I now have two Bolt C. The teal bolt made me a believer that bolt on necks are ideal instruments. I loved it so much it was deserving of a new build. I originally wanted to do a CT6M in Deep Moss green. I do have a CT6 which is very nice indeed but the Bolt won me over. So here it is, the picture of the adopted Alder+ Quilted teal Bolt C and the fresh and amazing Black Limba + Flamed Maple Moss Bolt C. Both bolts have the gold plated logo. It does look white on the Moss due to lighting in the photo.

Here's an unnamed color that Carvin tried and never went with. It's a black cherry pearl.

My Electric blue bolt. Definitely one of my favorites. Just a great freakin guitar. I need to take better pictures one of these days.

I keep thinking about having a twin blade with C22B bolt built, but right now I've just got too many guitars everywhere.

Here's my Bolt-T in Vintage Cream with some mods/updates. The color actually looks yellow most of the time.

Updates Include:

-VS100 Wilkinson Trem. (much more stable than the cheapo version of the Wilky Carvin uses, also feels stronger)
-Warmoth pick red/tortoise pick guard.
-Fully Scalloped fretboard refinished with old school nitro. The scalloping was done by hand by DC Custom Guitars. It turned out great! The new finish makes the neck feel like a vintage Fender. The tung oil Carvin uses on these necks feels nice, but this nitro thing is just AWESOME.

Agreed! I like all those shots! Sweet looking Bolt there Bredo.

Question, has anyone used the covered Carvin humbuckers in a bolt? I thkn you have to route the body a bit and get a pickguard that fits covered numbuckers. I have a set of covered Carvin humbuckers in chrome and want to try them in my Bolt with a three way switch and coil taps.

Sirloin,

I had considered that... and considered that... thought it over and did not do it. If you could find a pick guard that would fit the pickup then it would be an easy install. I believe the bolt has wide enough cavity to fit the covered pups. (of course this is an assumption). I took a different rout and opted for a humbucker that had a lower resonant frequency and it only required slight sanding of the existing mounting hole on the pick guard. However I did have to redrill and tap the holes on the Pup. (it came with three holes on each side and only the center holes were tapped for 4-40 thread. Not too difficult to open up for 6-32.

I wonder if you can order a customized pick guard though Carvin with the mod.

Wow what an amazing variety of bolts in this thread. Amazing guitars.

Here's my first Carvin. It's a little jealous of my second Carvin, the SH575, but I plan to put it back to work soon enough on a new track I'm recording. I sometimes playfully refer to it as my "Ikea Guitar" due to its no frills plain wood look but that's what I was going for. It's a pretty nice looking piece of Swamp Ash, ebony fretboard with MOP Diamonds, Wilkinson Trem with some weatherstripping stuffed in the springs to fix the harmonic resonance they were causing (especially on Bs) and the humbucker bridge option.

Almost makes me want a Bolt. Almost, but my 2014 C66 is the end result of me ordering a Bolt in 2003 and learning what I liked about it and what I would rather change.
But those are gorgeous. :applause:

Reminds me of a candy apple red which Carvin offered briefly, but yours is a little darker. Very cool color.
