My CT4 is just an incredible guitar. I wouldn't trade it for a CT6 + cash. It was my first Carvin, and I went a little crazy with the 'bling' options, but the whole thing came out beautiful with a lightly flamed top that I lucked into having paid for a plain maple top. Then of course, there is the playability, resonance, and tone - I never want to put this thing down!

I recently put DR Pure Blues 11s on her, set up the action and intonation, and lightly scuffed the back of the neck with 320-grit to get a nice satin finish. She is well-loved :D

That is my favorite example of antique brown. I didn't really even consider that color until I saw your CT6, Rockcrue.
Got it: Cobalt 750TS
Got it: Bolt
Got it: SC90
Got it: Ultra-V
Need it: FG1
Got it: Nomad
Got it: Vintage 16
Need it: AG200D

Thanks very much!

I thought that when I first got it also, but I sent the serial number to customer care and they were kind enough to look up specs. They advised Deep Antique Brown. Kinda makes me want to see Tigers Eye in person now to see how different the two are. 8)

Its the old, now altered to a lighter shade, pearl blue.
The new one is somewhat of a metallic darker ice-blue(ish), this ones almost black in normal room light - and "shines" blue hilites.

I handed this one down to my 14-year old son last year, but since he doesn't post here I'm sure he wouldn't mind it being shown off.

This is the very first CT6M in DTS Dragonburst, born in 2006 (and a catalog cover model in summer of '07; the swatch you see online and in the catalogs come from this guitar):

AWESOME looking CT!! Love the light flamed top, reminds me of an original '59 LP (except for the maple board). Sweet. How do the 11's work with the guitar?
