Yes it is a double cut away. Also known as a SH645. This club is titled SH club. Am I missing something??

Your thread so I will remove it.

No, no!!! Please!! Did not mean to offend anyone; I thought SH's were single cutaways but it's just a technicality and I guess I was mistaken. No need to get all worked up about nothing; like I said before it's a lovely guitar.

Not worked up at all bud. Honestly I want the thread to be what you want it to be. No harm at all. However you may wish to change it to sh550 club. But you did not hurt my feelings. Btw sh stands for semi hollow and includes about a dozen models.

You are absolutely right; I was mistaken; somehow in my mind I related the S in SH with single cut. Those double cuts look awesome and the Frank Gambale Model is breathtaking. I like double cuts; I have a 1982 DC 150 and my newest build was a DC 4M that was finished a few months ago. I'm actually surprised that that particular model is not more popular; I think it's beautiful. Since I was totally mistaken; why don't you go ahead and repost that beautiful photo you had on? Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Here's my SH475 from early this year. It's got an unfinished rosewood neck and a tung oiled maple-over-mahogany body thing going on. When i play it it feels like a magic wand. Anyway, here's a couple pics, as back when I was shopping I always wished there were more of the SH carved tops kicking around these parts:

Wonder the chances of the SH series going 24 frets. Every other Carvin is seeming to.

Aloha All,

This is my first time posting a picture in a discussion board, though I've been around for awhile...

I hope you enjoy my 550...it came from GIS almost 3 years ago. It's the second from the bottom in the gallery...here goes:

Thanks everyone...

My guitar has this beautiful criss-cross flame thing going on. I've always appreciated this guitar as it doesn't really look like or sound like anything else, except maybe a Les Paul...and that's not a bad thing in my book...

:D
