I'll be joining this club in 6-8 weeks :)! I can't get over the excitement of ordering and knowing that it will be in my hands soon enough!

1st time poster as well. Hope to get to know some of you people over time.

So what are the specs you went with? Standard or did you mix it up a bit? :D

Gosh I love those JB guitars. Despite the 80s styling there's a timeless factor to it. I can't pinpoint what though....

Thanks and I am very excited to see it to! I keep making up visualizations in my head about what it is going to look like haha. I have a very active mind and I don't see myself calming down about my purchase any time soon so it looks like I have a long wait ahead of me ;(.

Anyway, I mixed it up a bit! I got a Deep Dragonburst finish on a flame maple top. Maple Neck and Alder Body. And just about everything else was standard except for Stainless Steel Jumbo frets, a 14 inch radius fingerboard, Black Abalone Knobs, and a Vintage tweed case. I also threw in a strap, and cable for good measure. I was thinking about getting a stand to but I'll probably just be keeping the guitar in its case most of the time.

I originally wanted to do an option 50 finish with a "Moonstone" finish but I was told no over email :(. Maybe in the future I'll try again with a better way to present my finish/color idea to Carvin.

Here is a link/picture (one of the pics I sent to Steve) of the moonstone using Google.

Hehe, sorry for the late reply man but yes I do. It will be here in about 3 more weeks! My patience has steadied but I don't know when I'll start going crazy again.

I'm contemplating buying a graduation gift for myself: a JB with DTS teal quilt with a thin blackburst, no dots, flame maple board, 5 piece maple tung oiled neck, black hardware. :)

Do it! I don't regret ordering mine one bit haha! Ever since I heard about Jason Becker getting signature guitars from Paradise guitars years I ago I promised myself I would get one. Well something even better came along in Carvin! Woot!
