"Cali" burst group buy club

Postby Appollyon » Sun Nov 16, 2014 8:26 pm

I was curious who here signed up for this great deal, and, once we get the guitars (shortly), we could post them here.

I personally went for the purple with the Kiesel treated board and piezo.

I'm in on the group buy. My DC7x will be blue Caliburst, with matching blue treated board, no inlays, SS frets, and piezo. I can't wait!

Didn't realize the piezo was going to be an option there until you and Apo mentioned it.

Gooing to be great!

No sig inlays on any of the group buy guitars. Only black diamond or NIN.

They are starting to be completed in the pics of the day...

The latest yellow one (tiger eye?) looks amazing!

My one 7 is enough, so I didn't order in that run, but I know what the finish on my Jan' order will be!

Chris H. put his together as I understand so he can best answer your question.

Basically a group from Guitar Porn and others here as well got in on a "group buy" of 50 Carvin DC7X guitars with special [but generally available to all] options and prices [due to a 50 guitars at one time order].

Pretty sweet deal for sure. If I wasn't completely burnt out on "Super Strat" guitars for the moment I would have jumped on it even though I already have two DC7X Carvins. It was an exceptionally good deal for what you get. I think they sold out all 50 guitars in one day? Very sweet indeed.

Oh, there ya go, thanks Appy :)
I see a lot of flame and a couple Zebrawood fingerboards on some of the group buy pix? Was that offered?

To keep cost Down, we didn't get to choose a lot of options. Just color, gloss/satin, black/Kiesel/burnt BEM boards, piezo...about it. I jumped on it, because I love the DC7X and wanted a second one to compliment my koa/black limba one.

I gotta say, the new "baked" color finish is my favorite of all the Kiesel treated colors.

That last one in gloss yellow with the hybrid flame-quilt is devastating. Like a tiger.

Okay cool. Thanks! I will probably never be part of a group buy as I tend to want some oddball option like thick necks or non locking tuners. Some nice looking geetars though :applause:
