she's one of my two main inspirations

Norman Watt Roy who played with Ian Dury and the Blockheads, guy has more funk in his pinky finger than some cities.

I got to see this guy perform with Bela Fleck in Tulsa Oklahoma, 2004. Mr. Victor Wooten.
Very humble guy & outstanding technique! I consider him the Bruce Lee of the bass.
I also came across this other guy, Otiel Burbridge, who normally uses a six stringer, because he likes to do chords!

And as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, I do like Sting's bass work!
