Beat 'em to the punch

Postby MikeBass » Tue Apr 11, 2017 3:57 am

For anyone watching the social media Pics of the Day tomorrow, there's a good chance of a surprising bass showing up. If not, the cat's out of the bag now
In case anyone was wondering why I hadn't already pounced on an AB4  , this is why

Either way it should be here Wednesday, stay tuned.

Tried to avoid the Pics of the Day but I'm pretty sure it's in there today, saw a glimpse that seems to match up.

Hmm...didn't see an AB in the pics of the day post today...maybe you didn't see it? (or maybe it was taken down for some reason).

It's not an AB, it's the reason why I haven't ordered an AB yet

Did you order the LB with the flipped P/J setup? That's pretty wild...
-VB4/FDP
-VB5/fretted/White-Blue
-VB5/fretted/Satin Jet Black
-VB5/fretless/FDBC
-CT324X/Primer Gray

Called it! Got that same pickup setup on my last Vanquish, it's by far my favorite

Some stuff for look forward to after tomorrow:

-Perhaps one of the best bolt-on versus neck-through comparisons to date
-Radium singlecoil versus J99A
-Learning if an ebony top really does drastically increase the bass' weight

 I wish. Then again, between this LB and the Aries, I'm not sure there's anything else I would want

That's the one! She just arrived, pardon me while I bask in the glory

Quick notes:
-sounds killer acoustically. The G string really sings! Needs my setup though
-ebony is heavy
-Kiesel-branded soft case and tuners, nice.

Congrats Mike!!

Sure is purrrrdy! Glad you're not upset about the missing fretwire... :laughhard:

Curiosity question: are the pickups also branded "Kiesel?"

Looking forward to the comparison review ;)

Happy NBD!! :applause:

Thanks! Just posted the official thread.

The J99A still says Carvin, but the ultimate soft case and tuning machines are now all Kiesel
