Love that grain on the neck

Specs:
Walnut neck/body
Ebony top
All Tung oiled
Royal ebony board
J99A/SCP

So happy with this bass! Everything came out great, really pleased with its vibe. It has almost a rugged, natural look. And it's actually not noticeably heavier than my walnut/limba LB70, to my surprise.
I've only plugged it in briefly but man, that walnut+ebony combo is definitely my new favorite. Not to mention the pickups - I'm already inclined to believe that the J99A sounds juuuust a little better than the new Radium singlecoil. More on than later, after more tests 8)

The only con is that they forgot the straplocks buttons. Luckily this is a complete non-issue, as my favorite strap already has some installed. And yes they did remember to install the correct straplocks pegs on the bass, so I'm good to go

More notes:

Since the royal ebony on the bass side of the fretboard is pale, the luminlay sidedots have the black rings around them. Wasn't expecting that but hey, cool.

I don't notice any differences with this new Kiesel case, but it is sort of neat to have all three versions now.

The bass has such a great, woody tone. It sounds like it looks!

Their wording in both publications and in spoken messages is ambiguous: they either use the black rings when the wood is a light type, OR, the black rings are ALWAYS used because they offer some light woods, and just use one hole size and one inlay dot type.

If you got a hard case, look around for a hidden compartment. I have seen people think the buttons were forgotten and then find them hidden in the case.

That bass looks fantastic. Really. I'm not a nig LB fan. But that thing works it.

I checked all the pockets of the case, nothing. Like I said, it's a non-issue.

Thanks though! Always loved the LB shape

So much win and so much want!
You really scored with the wood choices on that one.
Just all that smooth woody goodness end to end and in the middle.
Love that you described the tone as matching the looks.

Then, you show it next to the Vanquish and my head explodes just a little.
Your vision on these builds is very strong.
Major congrats and enjoy!

Thanks, everyone!
Just found out that I'll have tomorrow off, so hopefully I can make those videos sooner than expected.

Still getting to know the bass but there's so much I want to do, mainly in terms of comparisons
