Bass neck profiles

Postby jokh00 » Fri May 05, 2017 2:55 am

Hi!

How many different necks do K/C make? And which models share the same neck? I´m currently looking for a 5-string bass with a D-shape (wide/flat) neck. Hard to tell if K/C makes one of those. I had a Bunny with an asymetrical neck, wich might fit the bill, is it the same neck the LB75 uses?

They no longer make the asymmetrical neck.

I think Kiesel generally makes flatter neck profiles. However, I think that they make a larger variety of bass necks, than they ever have. You should really call and ask for Keith.

But here is some very loose bon-info, from me:

I believe the Xccelerator is thinnest and wont allow a thinner option.

Bromberg may have his own unique necks.

Aries and Vanquish are probably the same neck.

Based on measurements, the PB and JB are probably similar to the Vanquish, but they both have less frets.

Icon 4 is the widest 4 string, at the nut.

Icon and LB 5 string necks are probably the same.
