Has anyone out there put Piccolo strings on a VB4 34 " scale bass? If so, did you tune it EADG, what was the tension/ action like? I spoke with Mike who said it can be done, Just wondering what the satisfaction rating would be with this kind of setup. Thanks for any help.

would that be a fretless guitar? i know a player who does jazz and runs flatwounds, and plays through a bass amp.....it's a richer guitar timbre overall....

Brian Bromberg strings one of his B24 sig models with piccolo strings. He did a Jimmy Hendricks tribute album a couple years ago, and used it extensively for the guitar parts.

Thanks everybody. It would be a fretless bass. Just not sure I want to go forward with it now. Still need to think about it. Thanks again.
