When were Stainless steel frets first offered on Carvin guitars?

Postby Tenguitars » Wed Mar 22, 2017 4:50 pm

Hi,

Does anyone happen to know when stainless steel medium-jumbo frets were first available as an option on Carvin guitars?
Trying to verify if that was even possible on a TL60 from the late nineties.

I did read in the Carvin museum website the SS jumbo version was offered later. I'm just not sure if the SS medium jumbo had been around for a while before that.

Appreciate any information that anyone may have.

Thanks,
Henry

I bought my DC127C with SS frets in 2007. If I'm not mistaken this was the first year Carvin offered this option

I think you must be mistaken, because I bought my CT4M in July of 2004 and it has SS frets.

True. My 1st CT6 was back in 2004, and it was ordered with SS frets (not 100% sure they actually put it on tho).
I believe my late-2003 (Dec?) Koa DC may have had SS available, but I opted for nickel at the time (why??). I could be mis-remembering that one, but sure about the 2004 CT6.
