AW5 - effect of passive tone on active electronics?

Postby Heavyduty » Thu Dec 07, 2017 6:39 am

A question to other active electronics Vader bass owners, please...

Last night at practice with my AW5, I was finding the position of the passive tone pot affected the tone in active mode. I don’t notice that before, but I’m not sure if it’s new behavior or not.

Does your do the same?

Yes. The pull-up tone knob "works" in both passive and active modes. The stacked cut/boost concentric knob is unavailable in passive mode.

Hope this helps.

8)

In your defense, the sound of that big HB is pretty sonically consistent no matter where you dial it in.

I’m finding the opposite - I lost all my highs and freaked out!
