Your CS reminds me a little bit of the old all maple Les Paul Customs from the Norlin era:

Just recently ordered my first CS3...should arrive sometime after the first of the year. Very stoked to receive this one, it's been awhile since I had ordered a build.

Someday I hope to join this club. But that will likely be at least a couple of years out.

What could people possibly find at GC that would warrant trading in a Carvin work of art? Just sayin . . . :naughty:

Great rescue! :applause:

Acid Trip Koa Top!

How is everything going with your triple P90 Hag?

PLaying that thing thru my Mercury V is like heaven on earth. Those full rich P90's just sing, and when you throw the middle pickup in with either the neck or bridge, you get that sweet strat sparkle. It's such a great guitar with such a nice neck. Awesome deal for seven hundred lousy bucks. Obviously something like a high end Les Paul, a Carvin/Kiesel CS or the handmade Northen has a much more substantial, solid feel... but the pickups are about the nicest bumped, tweaked-for-position 90's I've played.
Carvin Weaponry:
1985 DC150K (koa) Stereo, M22N/M22SD w/black hardware.
1985 100 Watt X Amp 2 x 12 combo (XV212) upgraded w/ 2 Vintage 30's
...and other gear.

They are the best 90s I've heard or played period. P90s are known for their "raunch and roar" which these are VERY good at too but I like to [let the dogs out to protect their ears when the wife is gone to protect her sanity] crank the Egnater up on the 65W Clean channel to the point it is just barely starting to break up the power tubes which is REALLY REALLY loud and play some Gilmour-esque Bluesy type stuff with that guitar. Truly amazing tone! And, though this white one I finally got my hands on is the most stable of any of the china models I touched, the Gotoh lockers helped even more, BTW! Don't look quite as nice though.

Wish I felt like recording more. I have WAY better stuff than that sliding with the Hag I threw together in like 5 minutes [which it sounds like]. Frankly, it's the main reason I don't record more. I am so anal about what I let others hear that I need WAY more time than I have available hours on good health days to do at this point.

But, I still enjoy playing when I can . . . and that's always a good thing any day I can get it!

:hijack: Let's move this back over on the Hag thread if more Q & A & W & T & F & ETC is needed?

I almost placed an order with Kiesel the other day. I still want that one last custom work of art before I go to the great gig in the sky. Still putting together the particulars so no nearly "bun in the oven" announcements just yet . . .

And if you're looking at the name on the headstock and wondering... I asked Mike Jones and the answer is yes.

No, that's why I asked . . . A Walsh CS6 would have been old school.
