When JCG mentioned this on a recent FB video feed, I knew it was going to be something special. Can't wait to see it. It's going to be extraordinary.

Re: SCB6X - Teal Candy

As I cannot exactly tell from any pix, what exactly is "candy" in a candy finish?
Is it a super wet hi-sheen gloss, a pearl-esque addition to the clear ... ?

Thx.

Thx.
I'd love to see some better images that show it, but it kinda looks like it's acting more like a dye in the wood and less like a trans paint on the wood. It seems like the inner sheen of the figuring shows through a bit more, and almost like the figuring has highlights and lowlights in different colors...but this is just from jeff holding them at arm's length in the parking lot under the sun with his phone.

I could be way off my rocker, as he refuses to actually describe the finishes beyond "Sick", "money", "rad", and "How does it compare to the standard color? Oh, way different. Doesn't compare."

My gut says there's dye/stain involved, and not just a trans paint like the regular "Deep Teal" finish.

img removed, but now I cannot unsee it!!!
Yes it was.

And kinda what I thought might be going on. I was thinking, like pearl - or black "magic", it was something really hard to photograph.
