I still lean toward the red one more, probably out of preference for red in general, but that white, with such a dark colored neck is striking.

One thing I've noticed about all 3 recent Cocobolo necks I've seen (mine, and the two in this thread), is that the grain is remarkably straight for Cocobolo, which is supposed to be more twisted.

Has anyone looked if the fretboard is the same piece of wood as the neck?

it is a seperate fret board(got to install the truss and stabilizing rods) but is so close a match in grain and color that it could be cut from the same piece as the neck.

Mine is similar. There are differences, but one edge of the board matches up with the color changes on the neck extremely well, so I'm fairly sure it's from the same main piece. Beautiful wood, too.
