Bridge pickup keeps unscrewing itself from body?

Postby Fingerbored » Wed Sep 26, 2018 3:58 pm

So I have a Kiesel LPM6 and it's a great guitar BUT it has an issue. I can get through about one song and then I notice that the bridge pickup has come loose from the body and is making contact with the strings! I re-installed the pickup with the 3 screws and same thing happens all over again? Suggestions?

Inject some wood glue in the screw holes (mixed with sawdust if possible), let it get 3/4 hard and reinstall the screws. Chances are the holes are over drilled or wallowed out. And make sure the springs are good.

I've got to do the exact thing for the exact problem with the bridge P90 in my Gibson Les Paul Special. They're direct mount--not dog ears-- and so all the more important.
