V-Burst SCB6 in the Oven

Postby SolidOrangeTiger » Fri Nov 02, 2018 3:06 pm

Quite literally fresh off the presses (I just authorized the payment), a pretty customized SCB6 is headed my way in 10-16 weeks.

Massive shout-out to Keith for helping me put this one together.

Kiesel #1 for me was a Crescent in quilted Orangeburst and Blackburst Edges - You can check that out here:

My goal this time was to take my favorite parts of these three guitars, merge them into my own axe, and add a bit of my own flair to it while I was at it:

Also:
1. Big thanks to Appollyon and the owners of the rest of the beautiful guitars above for the inspiration. All three are killer.
2. For the top, I sent over the picture of the first SCB7 I linked above and asked Keith to match the color and spray pattern of it. Hence VBST, TO, and TR. However, I left the actual wood grain completely in Jeff's hands: Based on the past few tops of the week on Facebook, I'm very excited to see what he comes up with!

Accidentally quoted myself when I meant to edit - Oops. If a mod sees this post, they can delete it. Sorry about that!

Thanks Spud! One thing I am wondering about is the longevity of the color-treated fretboard. From what I've heard about the process they go through, though, seems like it'll hold up no problem. I'll just be careful with keeping my hands clean before I play this one.
