Interesting question. I would be curious as well.

This used to be quite alive back in the day when it was Carvin, before the separation of companies(Carvin amps and Kiesel guitars).

Also social media seems to have taken so much of this type of bbs.

Some of the bigger ones are:
The Gear Page
Harmony Central
Talk Bass
Sevenstring.org

Not saying those are the best, just some of the biggest. :)

Also there are various guitar-centric subreddits on Reddit. Both generic "guitar" and also many subsets like "extended range guitar" and Kiesel.

And then, finally...*ugh*...Facebook groups. Great for coordinating events, terrible for longer conversations or archived information.

Thoughts on migrating to the Kiesel Reddit? I know it's a different crowd, but it's as close as we'll get to the same format.

It's really a shame that things can't be archived.

I actually recommend YouTube for online interaction with other players. This forum has been great over the years and I’m sorry to see it’s going away. The people here have always been generally nice and helpful and it was a great experience posting here when it was in its prime. From what I’ve seen of virtually any other message boards I can’t recommend them.
Guitars:
2x Carvin Bolt
DC145
AE185
Ibanez RG1570
Ibanez RGA42FMLBLF
2x Fender MIM Strat
Ovation Celebrity

Amps:
VT16
Quilter Tone Block 201
Quilter Overdrive 200
Fender Super Champ XD
Carvin Legacy II 2 x 12 cab

Well....I guess this is it. End of an era.

Thanks to Spudmunkey for posting the sad news about the end of the forum. I am on Facebook's Kiesel pages.

Hope to see some of you over there. If not then I want to thank everyone who participated throughout the years giving incredible advice and funny opinions about this brand be it under its current name or previous.

I'll be here until unplug date for whatever that's worth.

Wow - I missed the announcement of this BBS going away.

I joined in 2007 and this is my 1362nd post. Though I've made my thoughts on Jeff and the direction of the company rather (and perhaps inelegantly at times) clear, I've always appreciated this forum as a great source of information not just for Carvin/Kiesel guitars, but for the instrument in general.

I've got lots of fond memories of this place and I'm sad to see it go. From seeing the emergence of the "Cowbell" term, Evster's Photoshop mockups, all the great NGDs, advice, arguments, and support I've seen, I'm glad to have been part of this community since nearly its inception.

I'm not sure if this will be my last post or not, but in the event it is, I want to say that Elf and Spud, you're princely men and thank them for all they've done for this forum and community over the years. Godspeed.

-Danny

The thing I'll miss most about this BBS is not even how well-mannered and civil it's been - but how HELPFUL its denizens have been. Anyone could ask a question and expect (as usual) as many different opinions as there were responses - but those responses would be to the point, non-judgmental, and at least intended to honestly address the issue. Snark at a minimum, flaming non-existent. The mods here had it easy.

To answer the question in the OP -- my favorite is easily the Seymour Duncan forum.

Anyways, I'm more of a sporadic here than a regular, but nonetheless, it's been real!

I'd recommend The Gear Page. Like here, there are lots of knowledgeable folks that I've learned from. As a much bigger forum though, there will be folks that aren't as civil and friendly as has been the case here but I guess you take the bad with the good.
